The 2022 vintage carries the signature vineyard thunder for which the Elevation Cabernet has become so famous. It literally booms from the glass with an array of dark berry fruit, plum and fully cured tobacco leaf. A little dark chocolate and a trace of fresh ground espresso beans rounds out the roll of the powerful expression. A cheerful acidity along with a fully resolved tannin structure provides an evenly distributed stance but with a sparky, nervous energy just below the surface. From that statis the wine amply displays a brave and bold exterior while holding within itself an elegant and a secretive speed.
