This wine was wine writer Rick VanSickle's second Riesling collaboration with Vineland Estates.
This bone-dry Riesling boasts the mineral notes of crushed oyster shells. Currently, the signature lemon-lime zest is just starting to emerge with the classic fruit essences of white peach, pear, grapefruit and green apple dominating the nose. As the wine continues to age, the pronounced acidic edges soften to reveal the "inner St. Urban". As the aging continues Rick is confident that the green apple will evolve into a richer honey-crisp apple profile.
Rick only sees the inner beauty of the complex fruit array growing over time.
