Even though the Vineland Estates Winery pedigree can easily be seen, the uncommon plush notes of mango, melon, apricot and lemon tart dominate the full wine. An undertone of crumbled shale provides a base note to the voice that just keeps booming. A bright acidity on the palate keeps the wine lively and focused as the slightest hint of sweetness gently rounds all the sharp edges. Like a familiar resonant call from a distance, this wine must be heard.
