I stopped (former) assistant winemaker Tobias in the cellar seeking his inspiration for the 2020 Rotling. He simply smiled and said, “I want it to brighten your day. I want it to be expressive of the vintage but in the end I want the wine to lift your spirits and lighten your daily load.” This unique whole grape press blend Rosé of Cabernet Franc and Vidal will certainly do that and capture you with its smart sweetness and a balanced acidity. The wine is faithfully continuing its three year taste profile but it is showing extra strong shoulders that it never quite had before. Tobias continued, “Due to the concentration of 2020 the wine has a lot of body and it is calling out for a BBQ sausage. Are you as hungry as I am right now?”
